Identify the drain

Hi friend!

This past week I was far more energized and clear than I have been in a while. I thought, why?

The biggest change I realized I had made was being off of Instagram.

I am mentally more present and less distracted. This is producing more life and joy. Am I still reaching for my phone to phantom scroll something?…yes. (I accidentally downloaded the ig app and logged in again when I was trying to download a budgeting app….!;)). Growth happens. Little by little, we travel far.

So, that's how it is going, friend. I do not write any of this out to make you feel like you should be like me, but I did want to share how the transition went!

I can easily get caught up in so much distraction mentally. I have found that cutting some of that clutter looks like engaging in the present moment and connecting to God.

How do you unplug? On the first Blog: Dreaming and Goal Setting Gift, I asked, "What drains you?". Knowing what drains our energy is just as important as knowing what brings us energy.

What drains me is being critical of others and carrying burdens that I shouldn't. When I realize that I am doing either of the two, I shift my focus back on the thing that brings me life, joy, and peace. I find this in my relationship with Christ Jesus, being grateful, and PRAYING for others (not fueling critique).

I hope you are well, friend. Dive into the journal prompt below.

In the comments below:

1.) Tell us “What drains you? (i.e. bogs you down, makes your brain mushy or frustrated, tired)

2.) Make it public and share with a friend and ask what drains them!
