Tears & Laughter !

This past week and a half have been a whirlwind of activity and learning!

My sweet grandpa was in the hospital post-heart surgery with some scary complications for a few days - my amazing grandma had to bear the burden of the pain, and I felt the ebb and flow of care and empathy, tears, and prayer. I care so deeply for my family, and a few of them are facing some challenges. It can be tricky to navigate.

I'm not trying to be too gloomy but I wanted to let you know what helped me during this challenging time- and hear how you navigate the hurdles that come your way.

You and I both have our inner circle of people. We are going to face challenges on this side of heaven. We are going to have exciting days and days where circumstances are more complicated. Laughing and crying together is so normal.

I have realized that our mindset is truly our greatest asset when navigating challenges.

My mind and emotions can be ALL over the place. Engaging in my relationship with God and wise counsel helps me regain true clarity for my situations. (I wish I could tell you I do this promptly and perfectly every time, but that's not always the case;) I hope the steps below give you a method for navigating some of life's difficulties.<3 )

Here's what helps me:

  1. Processing with God in prayer and listening to what he was saying in return. True peace comes from God, and his voice in my life = the best mindset I could ask for.

  2. Letting my close people in on what was going on. Allowing them to care for me too.

  3. Taking ACTION by driving home to visit and be with my family during a challenging time.

  4. Health- Caring for my mental and physical health by eating healthy foods, exercising, and sleeping well.

  5. Laughing and enjoying people for whom they are - and being present with them.

As always, much love to you today!
