Love + Relationship Advice from Nate and I

Relationships are so much fun and life giving! Buuut they also take intention- so, Nate and I put together a list of our top 5 pieces of advice that have helped us tremendously in our relationship.

We have had our fair share of challenges, pushback, questions, and fighting FOR the relationship. So here is some of the cream from the top of what we have learned. I think I will film a video sometime of us talking about this- because it’s so helpful to learn from people who are real about the struggles but remain committed and hopeful.

(in no particular order☺️)

•Be a good friend.
Being a good friend to each other is where the relationship started, so go back to the simple way of treating each other like you would a friend, kindness, love, respect. It will disarm any “consumer” mindsets. And it takes the pressure off you and the other person. 🙌🏻

•Give thanks
Stoke Gratitude for the other human...what you have together, the awesome qualities they have, the ways in which you are taken care of.

•Think well & speak well of each other
Mindsets are everything. When a critical thought rolls around in your mind, choose to see the good, and give thanks. (This goes for speaking about them in public too- which can be a challenge but use your words to uplift- and speak life)

•Quality time...
is better than quantity of time!☺️ better to have one romantic date a week than 7 evenings of not paying attention to each other.! 🤪

•Prayer
Praying for your partner is radical. It not only blesses them, but it also blesses you in the process. Nate and i want to care more about how the other person is doing- mentally, spiritually, physically, in life than just constantly consume from them. Chances are if they are “off” something real is happening inside their hearts and minds- so contend with them - not against them. 🙏🏻✨

Share this with whomever! We have received so much helpful counsel. Hope to do the same😘
